Caersws failed to heed Manager Graham Evans’s warning of a JD Welsh Cup upset and lost 2-1 at home to Llanrhaeadr.

After a goalless first half Llanrhaeadr came out fighting in the second half with two quick goals and although Elliot Jones pulled one back for the home side it was not enough.

Caernarfon Town were reeling from the shock of losing manager Iwan Williams to Welsh Premier League side Llandudno but still ended Berriew’s cup homes. Karl Seliarts got the village side’s only goal.

Newtown dropped further in to Welsh Premier League trouble, besaten 2-1 at home by Bangor City. Dean Rittenberg volleyed City into the lead on the stroke of half-time and, although Jamie Reed back-heeled an equaliser against his former club, Rittenberg got the winner when a mistake by Robins' keeper Dave Jones left him to roll the ball into an empty net.
