Fancy asking Powys county councillors a question to their faces?

Newtown residents will have a chance next month when the next full county council meeting is held and the public can attend and ask a question during a special 20 minute slot.

“Earlier this year the county council allowed members of the public to ask questions at a meeting of full council for the first time ever as part of a trial to improve links with county residents,” said a council spokesperson.

“The council has now agreed to have a 20 minute slot at the start of each county council agenda for public questions.
The next meeting of full council will be on Thursday October 19 and question need to be submitted by 5pm on Wednesday, 4 October to be considered.”

The meeting is being held at County Hall in Llandrindod Wells.

“Questions must relate to Powys and/or the services the council provides.  If accepted by the Chair of Council they will be added to the Council Agenda in the order in which they are received,” added the spokesperson.

“Anyone interested in submitting a question should visit the council’s website  for more information.”
