Two separate serious assaults are being investigated by police in Newtown, including one where a man was glassed in a pub and another where a man was hit with a car jack.
A 19-year-old man has been hit with a car jack during a disturbance in the Back Lane car park on Saturday night.
Police said the incident of GBH took place at around 10.30pm.
"A 19-year-old man reported being hit with a car jack, resulting in a laceration to his head, during an incident of disorder. He was conveyed to hospital for treatment," said a Newtown Police spokesman.
"The offender is described as a white male in his mid-20s, of stocky build, with short black curly hair, and was wearing a black tracksuit with a red top underneath.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Liam Donovan at Newtown Police Station on 101.”
Later that night, in a separate incident, a 26-year-old man was glassed in the Castle Vaults at around 12.20am.
He was a customer in the pub when the incident took place and resulted in him have to be taken to hospital.
