Norovirus closes Newtown primary school

A Newtown primary school closed its doors today after a suspected outbreak of Norovirus.

It is understood Penygloddfa Primary School told parents not send their children to classes at around 8.30am after the breakfast club had begun.

A text alert told parents the school would not be opening for formal lessons.

Pupils and staff have been affected by the outbreak.

Reports of the Norovirus have been reported at other schools too, although it's understood a number of staff have been affected at Penygloddfa which meant the closure today.
