Newtown have released Summer signing Sam Lichfield and he has returned to former club Gulsfield.
The defender failed to break into the Latham Park starting line-up and has gone back to the Huws Gray League early-season pace makers ahead of Newtown’s JD Welsh Premier League clash with Carmarthen on Saturday.
Manager Chris Hughes has also announced that winger James Murphy, who was stretchered off against Cefn Druids last week is not as badly injured as was first feared. But he does face several weeks on the injured list.
Caersws go to Llandudno Junction hoping to get their Huws Gray Alliance season back on the right track after a terrible 4-0 hoe defeat to Guilsfield in midweek. Manager Graham Evans has a selection headache with Steve Blenkinsop, Gavin Samuel, Tom Bethell and Lance Jones all unavailable.
