Woman admits stealing £59,800 worth of scratchards

A Llanwnog woman has been bailed pending pre-sentence reports after admitting stealing scratch cards from her employer worth £59,800.

A Judge at Mold Crown Court adjourned sentencing until 8 June after Janet Vera Lloyd-Jones, 53, admitted stealing scratch cards from her employer at H.B and G.L. Jones (Caersws) Ltd who ran the Spar store in Caersws between August 2014 and August 2015.

She also admitted fraud after making a claim to have won on a lottery scratchcard to the value of £20,080.

Lloyd-Jones also admitted stealing groceries from the store to the value of £150.

She will appear for sentencing at Caernarfon Crown Court on 8 June.
