And a Newtown-based tourism operator says they believe local tourism operators are seeing a jump in last minute bookings.
Ginnie James of Wales Cottage Holidays based in the town centre, told MyNewtown there had been a jump in people booking to come into the area and wider region.
"We're up 33 per cent on Mother's Day bookings compared to last year," she said. "Thanks to the great weather forecast we are still getting last minute enquiries."
Last night traffic along the A483 was heavier than a usual Friday with many caravans and holidaymakers heading to accommodation providers throughout the area with more travelling into Montgomeryshire today or through to the coast.
