Another wave of Powys county councillors have revealed they will not be standing to contest their Newtown seats at May's elections.
Montgomeryshire AM, Russell George, Cllr Peter Harris and Cllr Gemma Bowker have said they will not stand.
It follows the announcement by Cllr Bob Mills recently that he would not be standing for re-election and on top of other councillors in Montgomeryshire who have decided to pull out.
Their decisions leave spaces on the Newtown Central, Llanllwchaiarn West and Llanllwchaiarn North wards, in addition to Newtown South.
The Liberal Democrats and Plaid Cymru have already called for a more political council which they claim will make it easier to take decisions.
Anyone wanting to be nominated to stand as a potential councillor must do so by 4pm on the 4 April.
