Lib Dem President in Montgomeryshire

02/03/2011 @ 02:33

Wyn Williams, Welsh Liberal Democrat Assembly candidate for Montgomeryshire, will host a rural economy forum on Monday, March 7, alongside the President of the Liberal Democrats Tim Farron MP (right).

The pair will host the forum to discuss the needs of Montgomeryshire with a range of rural businesses and representatives at Welshpool Smithfield.

Wyn said: “I am pleased to be able to welcome Tim to Montgomeryshire. Tim represents the Cumbrian seat of Westmorland and Lonsdale which is large and rural and so he understands the needs of a community like ours.

“I am deeply concerned about the future of our rural economy, such as the impact of high fuel prices. I hope that many local businesses will attend, so that during the next Assembly I can promote the issues that concern the businesses of Montgomeryshire.
“The rural forum will be a brilliant opportunity for local people to voice their concerns and we will be building future policies based on what we will hear in the forum.”
