Investigations into last Sunday's raid in which £60,000 worth of motorcycles were stolen from a Newtown business are continuing.

Thieves managed to break into the Freestyle Bikes premises at the St Giles Business Park in Pool Road, Newtown in the early hours of New Year's Day without anyone noticing.

The thieves broke through two walls to gain access and to take the motorcycles out in what was a planned raid.

Police said they are still investigating the break-in with 12 motorcycles stolen, although it is understood some of the property has since been recovered.

The business sells a range of off-road motorcycles and equipment from the premises.

Anyone with information should contact Newtown Police by telephoning 101.
