Gaynor Astley from Newtown has retired from the locally based Care and Repair after 27 years service helping thousands of older people in the Montgomeryshire area to remain safe and secure in their home.

At a recent event, Kirsty Williams AM thanked Gaynor for her dedicated service to Care & Repair in Powys and commended her on her work with the Agency over the years in helping to improve the lives of so many people in Powys.

Gaynor said: “I have really enjoyed my time at Care & Repair in Powys.  It has been very rewarding to improve the living conditions of so many people and maximise their weekly income.  I have met very many interesting people over the 27 years and have wonderful memories of my time here”.
