Council housing tenants from Newtown and throughout Montgomeryshire will have the opportunity to speak to housing officers at a forum organised by Powys County Council.
The forum will give council tenants the opportunity to share and explore issues which they have interest in or concerns with members of the housing team and other tenants.
The council’s Housing Service has arranged a tenants’ forum in the Committee Room at Neuadd Maldwyn, Welshpool on Tuesday, 4 October between 10am and 12pm.
The session will be a ‘round table’ discussion and all tenants are welcome to attend.
Cllr Rosemarie Harris, Cabinet Member for Housing Services, said: “We hope our forum will encourage our tenants to attend and tell us what they think.
“Those who attend will have direct access to housing staff and the opportunity to express any issues of concern or ideas about services could be improved.
“By encouraging tenants to talk together, it can help them to identify common housing issues which will help the council to provide a more efficient and effective housing service.
“I would encourage all council housing tenants in north Powys to attend to voice their opinions, ideas or concerns. Providing this forum to tenants is key to improving services.”
