Immigration raid on restaurant

17/02/2011 @ 05:24

Two Bangladeshi men face deportation after being caught working illegally in a Llanidloes restaurant last night (Wednesday).

Believed to be in their 20’s, the two men were snatched by UK Border Agency officials after a tip-off that they were working at Spice Club, Great Oak Street.

The pair are said to have entered the country with legal visas which had expired. They will now be expected to report to a local police station while arrangements are made for deportation. The restaurant could face a heavy penalty.

Anyone who suspects that illegal workers are being employed at a business can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
