Museum closed for refit

There’s good and bad news for one of Newtown’s favourite tourist attractions.

 

The Robert Owen Museum has secured a substantial grant for renovations, but it will be closed until February 25 to carry them out.

 

One of Newtown’s favourite attractions has been awarded the money to improve the visitor experience and will reopen with a fresh look including the same 1800 wallpaper which is used in his New Lanark House.

 

The museum attracts thousands of visitors every year who come to learn about one of Newtown’s favourite sons.
