Students from Newtown have been showing off their entrepreneurial flare with some going as far as selling products in the town’s retail centre.
The students from NPTC Group’s Newtown campus have had the chance to turn their creative ideas into products with three groups of enterprise finalists selected to sell their products in Newtown’s High Street shop, No.1.
Student groups Liquid Ink, Powys Pipers and Parti Pom Pom have been given valuable window space to display their quirky items.
Each of the groups products were judged by the Man Made Monster Company and No.1 High Street.
Students Adam Davies, Cheyanne Wilton and Sara Titley visited No. 1 recently and displayed their products for all to see.
Shop owner, Lis, was thrilled to support the entrepreneurs through selling their products and agreed that the items were creative and well made.
Business studies students’ team (Liquid Ink) created ink dye kits for canvas bags, while plumbing students (Powys Pipers) created some useful holders for everything from iPads to toilet rolls. Gateway students (Parti Pom Pom) pulled out the stops with their creative skills making pom pom bunting fit for any party.
