It's all about the stars

It’ll be a case of stellar surprises at the next meeting of Newtown Astronomy Society.

Sue Walker from the Open University will return for the second time this season to talk to society members about most people’s favourite night time objects, the stars.

She will talk about their histories, their outcomes and some interesting facts that most people wont know about.

On top of this will be a telescope surgery at the event being held on Saturday, 14 May at Treowen Community Hall.

“If you are having difficulty using your own equipment, bring it along and get some help and advise with how to get the best from it. Contact me before bringing it though,” said Brandon Lane of the society.

The meeting on Saturday, 14 May will include the regular what’s on session, discussions, coffee and biscuits.
