Accounts Assistant

The Accounts Assistant is responsible for Sales Ledger, Credit Control, Bank Posting and Reconciliations and Supplier Payments and assisting with Month end duties.

An opportunity has arisen for a full time Accounts Assistant to join our busy high volume manufacturing facility.

Key Duties:

Sales Ledger

·         Recharge Invoices

·         Set up new Customer accounts

·         Sales Interfaces

·         Daily and Monthly Sales Reporting

·         Sales Ledger Reconciliation

·         Sending Monthly Customer Statements

·         Posting Customer Receipts

Credit Control

·         Weekly Chasing of Customer Outstanding Debts

·         Weekly export of credit ratings for Pamargan Customers & Suppliers and group UK customers & Suppliers

·         Credits reports as and when required for group

·         Maintain Supplier spreadsheet


·         Supplier Payment Run

·         Expenses Payments

·         Pro-forma Payments

·         HMRC Payments

·         Netting (Inter Company Group Payment)

·         Posting Supplier / Nominal Payments

Month End

·         Exchange Gain & Loss provision

·         Hedging

·         Journals for Prepayments, Overhead Accruals, R&M Accrual and Goods In Transit

·         ECSL Sales List

·         Leasing

·         Debtors / Creditors Reporting


·         VAT Return Preparation

Candidate Requirements:

·         Experience gained in an office based admin position essential.

·         Previous accounts experience highly beneficial.

·         AATs or studying towards preferred.

·         Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

·         Organised and able to prioritise.

·         A natural problem solver with a proactive approach to work.

·         Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office.

·         Excellent timekeeping.

The Package:

·         £20-25K per annum depending on experience

Working hours are: Monday-Thursday 8.00am-4.30pm and Friday 8.00am-1.30pm.
