Power cut hits Llanidloes

A large-scale power cut blacked out most of Llanidloes this afternoon.

SP Energy confirmed a black out at around 3.30pm for the town and surrounding area.

It is not known what caused the power failure, although the electricity supplier said it was restored at around 5pm.

Homes and businesses were affected as engineers were sent to the area to rectify the problem.
