Show to warn about loan sharks tonight

An innovative drama focusing on the dangers of loan sharks is to be staged in Newtown later this month as part of an awareness event.

The event, organised by Ponthafren Association, Citizens Advice Powys and Wales Against Illegal Money Lending, will be performed at Newtown High School this evening between 6pm and 8pm.

The performance is targeted at all residents and the public and will highlight the dangers of loan sharks through a performance by NYP Theatre Group and RBD Academy.

There will also be loan shark freebies, information stalls, free fish and chips and cake and a raffle.
