Abermule rally ace Mark Higgins is definitely not shaken or stirred by his stunt driving epics in the latest James Bond epic, Skyfall.

Three times British rally champion Mark was called up to provide some of the main car stunt epics in the latest Bond film which celebrated 50 years of the fictional MI6 character on the big screen.

His latest antics driving the original Aston Martin DB5 and even a Land Rover are not new to Mark as he's provided many stunts for the two previous Bond films, including Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.

Speaking to BBC Wales, Mark said he spent three months working on the stunts for Skyfall which has broken British box office records since being released last week, starring Daniel Craig and directed by Sam Mendes.

"The cars on this film have been quite diverse, from Land Rovers to the beautiful DB5 which was a fantastic iconic car and a pleasure to drive," he told the BBC.

Ben Collins, better known as BBC Top Gear's The Stig, persuaded Mark to begin stunt driving with the James Bond films originally and he's continued to work with Ben since, with the pair currently working in Tenerife on another film.

One of Mark's main scenes is a Land Rover chasing a train with Bond on and a series of Volkswagen Beetles falling off. He's stood in for characters including Bond, some of the baddies and mainly Eve, a Bond ally played by Naomie Harris.

"She was great to work with and her character gave me some great opportunities to perform some interesting stunts," he said.

Mark, who moved to the aea in the 1990s with his family to set up a rally school, is currently working on Fast and Furious 6. You can follow him at his website www.markhiggins.co.uk .
