Are you ready for chef challenge

08/10/2012 @ 04:20

Are you game for a challenge? Have you ever wondered how to cook pheasant like the top professionals?

Coleg Powys is working in partnership with the Tourism Partnership Mid Wales and Local Food Talks to deliver a new 16 week course in Advanced Skills and Techniques in Producing Game Dishes, Level 3.

Game is back in fashion, and for good reason. With farmed game more widely available, and as the season for game approaches, Coleg Powys is offering this excellent new opportunity to improve your culinary skills as part of the VRQ L3 Diploma in Advanced Professional Cookery.

This will be an exciting, practical, hands-on course using locally sourced game which will add quality to your menu whilst using all cuts to improve your bottom line in a dynamic, new and sustainable way.

Aimed at professional chefs who wish to enhance their knowledge of all aspects of game preparation and cooking, or hotel and B&B owners who would like to further their skills and develop their menu offering, this exciting 16 week course will cost £175 (including certification).

If you have a Level 2 Professional Chef’s Qualification and would like to know more about the course, starting on Monday 5th November, please contact Lecturer Tony Burgoyne, tel: 0845 4086 213, email; tony.burgoyne@coleg-powys.ac.uk
