Successful return of Montgomery Canal Triathlon

The Montgomery Canal Triathlon successfully returned this weekend.

Competitors cycled, paddled and ran the route between Newtown and Crickheath, following the canal. Competitors cycled 12 miles to Belan Locks, canoed to Pool Quay and then headed on foot to the end.

The event was started by Montgomeryshire MP, Craig Williams, and Newtown Mayor, Cllr Richard Williams, at the new Open Newtown riverside venue yesterday.
