Posties dress up again - this time for the food bank

Newtown's posties are dressing up again today to raise money and this time the cash will go to Newtown's Food Bank.

Last week the Royal Mail staff dressed up on Clap for the NHS Thursday and raised nearly £7,500 for the NHS.

This time, the money will go to the food bank that is lead by the Salvation Army and providing food for those in need in the town.

Royal Mail manager for Newtown, Mark Farrington, said they would dress up each Thursday for the next four weeks in aid of charity.

He paid tribute to the staff and the customers for their efforts in raising the money.
