Housing association launches game

An online game is to help a Newtown-based housing association to make informed decisions on its future spending and plans.

Mid Wales Housing has launched 'Spend It Street' on its website in an attempt to get more tenants and the public to help it make decisions on where it should spend its resources. The Association believes the game will get more people involved in the process by making it more entertaining.

Hannah Jones, the Association’s Tenant Participation Officer said: "We’re excited about this innovation as we hope it will allow other more remote tenants to give their opinion without the commitment of attending meetings or returning a survey form."

It's understood to be the first time such a game has been used by such an organisation in Mid Wales but follows the trend by companies and organisations to use online and social media to interact more with customers.
