Foster carers and adopters wanted in Newtown

11/10/2019 @ 08:44
The search is on for foster carers and those who could adopt children in Newtown and throughout the area.

Powys County Council is to host drop-in sessions across the county to raise awareness of adoption and fostering with one taking place at Hafrenydd Community Room in Llanidloes on 15 October between 10am and 1pm.

"If you could provide a caring and safe environment within your home for local children, teenagers and siblings, then pop and see the team at one of our drop in sessions," said a council spokesperson.

Cllr Rachel Powell, Powys County Council’s Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, adds: “If you are passionate about supporting the needs of children and young people, and want to be a part of their life long journey, then please come along to have a chat with our professional and friendly team. You could be the person to make a difference to the lives of local children and young people in Powys.”
