Dementia Network plan

14/03/2019 @ 10:49

Attempts are being made to establish a Mid Wales Dementia Network.

The North Wales Dementia Network is already well established and is now looking for interested people and organisations in Mid Wales to follow suit.

Jen Roberts of the North Wales group said: “We have an exciting opportunity to try out the Dementia Network model in Mid-Wales.

“We will be arranging meetings to bring together people living with dementia, carers, and people who work to support them to discuss what they feel is important to them, to share best practice, to help form partnerships and collaborations.

“We would like to see a good mix of people at the meetings, including people affected by dementia and people working to support them from a range of organisations such as universities, Health Boards, County Councils, Age Cymru, Alzheimer’s Society, DEEP, Carers Trust, Carers outreach, Together in Dementia Everyday (TIDE), and local voluntary clubs.”

Anyone who would like to be part of a new Mid-Wales version of the Dementia Network, should contact either Jen Roberts j.roberts@bangor.ac.uk or Anna Story a.story@bangor.ac.uk
