26/06/2018 @ 12:22

Staff at a local estate agents are taking on The Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

“With heart and circulatory disease being the cause of over a quarter of  the deaths in the UK the British Heart Foundation need all the support
they can get to help those affected by heart disease, that is why for 2018 McCartneys has chosen the BHF as their charity of the year,” said Tom Carter.

“One of the ways in which McCartneys have decided to raise money is by taking on the monumental challenge of the Three Peaks,” he added. “The challenge will consist of 23 miles of walking across the three summits of Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis.

“It will see the team climb over 3,000 metres in altitude and travel 462 miles by car, starting in the rocky highlands of Scotland, travelling through the stunning English countryside and then finishing in the picturesque valleys of Wales.

“To top it all off, the challenge has to be completed within 24 hours.

“This is going to be no mean feat, but neither is tackling heart disease so please help us support the British Heart Foundation in their fight against heart disease by making a donation.”

Six of the nine participants willing to take on the challenge are pictured below - from left to right: Will Evans, Jamie Tulloch, Jake Best, Tom Carter, Adam Jenkins and Wyn Jones.

Donations would be greatly received via the firm’s just giving page
