Most schools should be open in North Powys again tomorrow but parents are being advised to check before sending their children.
And there is a warning from Powys County Council that school transport operators will be making decisions on whether it is safe to travel.
“The weather is starting to improve, so we are expecting home to school transport and local bus services to operate on Monday where the Operator assesses it is safe to do so,” said Liam Fitzpatrick, Portfolio Holder for Highways.
“As the snow continues to melt, the weather forecasters are warning of icy conditions overnight and early morning so please bear this in mind for school transport vehicles.
“Please also check the School Closure Notification system.”
