UKIP leader to support day centre campaign

Neil Hamilton AM, UKIP's leader in Wales, is to show his support to keep open the Park Street Day Centre in Newtown when he visits it next week.

Mr Hamilton, who is an AM for Mid and West Wales, will visit the day centre next Tuesday and will have a meeting with campaigners, including Cllr Joy Jones who has been spearheading health campaigns in the town.

"He will visit the centre as he supported the fight to keep it open," said Cllr Jones.

Mr Hamilton and his wife Christine visited Newtown earlier this year and met with Cllr Jones and other health campaigners to discuss the Powys-Shropshire health issues.
