Alan Carr mania sweeps Newtown!

Montgomeryshire caught a severe dose of Alan Carr-fever after tickets to see the Chatty Man in Newtown sold out in 20 minutes!

 

Theatr Hafren’s web site, phone lines and box office were bombarded with by local residents on Saturday morning after mynewtown announced his one-off show just 36 hours earlier.

 

And every ticket was snapped up just 20 minutes after they went on sale, making the camp comedian’s April 5 show the hottest ticket in town!

 

“I was on the web site at 9.59am and managed to get confirmation about 10 minutes later so we’re absolutely delighted,” said one lucky fan.

 

Carr has become a television hit over the past four years but will play to tens of thousands of fans during a 33-date arena tour later this year.

 

Theatr Hafren will host one of his select warm-up gigs where he will be trying out his new material on an up-close-and-personal audience.
