15/02/2016 @ 03:03

Local people interested in a career in care can sign up to receive free training from a care provider in the country.

Abacare has launched 100 new training places for the people to train as caregivers to help the elderly stay independent at home for as long as possible.

Peter Angelides, CEO at Abacare, said: “The pace of the ageing population is extremely fast moving and in order to keep up we have opened up 100 free training placements within our company for anyone who might be interested in a new career.

“Many kind and caring people can be put off from working within the industry due to negative press it receives but it is a job that is extremely rewarding. We have a fantastic team of dedicated carers, who work full and part time and who are passionate about making a difference to our service users’ lives.

“Anyone interested in working as a carer will receive full training for free before going on to join our team. Training includes a company induction, first aid, information on dementia, health and safety, food safety, infection control, handling medication and moving and handling service users.

“We also offer the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF), formerly known as National Vocational Qualifications, to all our team members who show commitment, reliability and true passion. We provide a great support network for all of our carers.”

Abacare is looking for kind, committed and reliable people, who have excellent communication skills and a genuine care for others.

Anyone interested should call 01686 625 644 or visit www.abacare.org.uk.
