Creative efforts in photography and drawing have been rewarded after two local children and two adults were named winners in a a local calendar competition.
Mid Wales and Shropshire estate agent and property surveyors Morris, Marshall and Poole set a challenge to create drawings or photographs that demonstrated the local countryside and homes in the area for its 2016 calendar.
And the winners were revealed during a festive reception at the company’s Welshpool office after judges reviewed an array of amazing entries.
“We wanted people to create drawings, pictures or photographs to depict their their home and their countryside. We had a great response and now we’re placing some of the winning entries into our 2016 calendar,” said MMP partner, Rob Hudson.
The winner of the under-11’s section was Mateusz Marezal from Welshpool, with a special commendation for Blake Morris from Meifod.
The winner of the 16 to 25-year-old section was Rhys Pryce from Welshpool and Tracey Williams from Garthmyl won the 26 and over category.
Mateusz won a family ticket to Chester Zoo, with Blake awarded a ToysRUs voucher.
Rhys won a £50 gift voucher for The Snowdome at Tamworth and Tracey was presented with a hamper of local produce.
“We’re really pleased with the standard of entries with the winning entries now proudly adourning our calendar which will be on the walls of offices and homes throughout Mid Wales and Shropshire in 2016,” added Rob.
