Record day for our sister site!

Who said that nothing happens in the New Year?
It all seems to be going on in the Newtown and Welshpool areas and it is reflecting in the numbers visiting mynewtown.
Since our launch on December 1, we have enjoyed increasing numbers of visitors week on week and up the road in Welshpool, which launched in August, an incredible new record was set yesterday Tuesday).
An total of 1,512 internet addresses logged on to the mywelshpool site yesterday to read the latest news on the high school, flu vaccines and the sad death of a popular resident. Meanwhile, thousands of Newtown residents have been following breaking news like the bridge saga at Aberbechan on mynewtown.
When you consider that several computers can log on through one internet address (an office only has one internet address for several computers for example) and that several people may use one computer, it translates to thousands of residents visiting us every day.
The massive number of visitors is music to the ears of our advertisers who are benefiting from exposure to their next customers who all live a short distance from their doors. If your business would like to take advantage too, let us know on editor@mynewtown.co.uk.
And don’t forget that you can get the daily bulletin and have the chance to win some great prizes soon by joining the mynewtown Facebook Group. Follow the Facebook link at the bottom of the home page to join if you are not one of the 400 members already.
We will endeavour to get the news to you as quickly as we can to keep you up to date with the latest developments.
Many thanks for your support.
