The Barclays Bank Silver Salver for the best bunch of six or more steers or heifers was awarded to Wyn Jerman and family from Rhiwbrongelly,
Trefeglwys at the recent Bishops Castle Auction’s successful sale of store cattle.

The Jerman family, J. Jerman and Co, also claimed first and second prizes in the steers with Mr F. G. Jones, Lower Down, taking third place. Prizes in the heifers class went to: 1, Mr C. J. Jones, Brondrefawr; 2, Mr V. G. and M. Jones, Bryn y Llesglwyn and 3, Messrs W. S. Turner & Sons, Stone Acton. The prize classes were judged by Mr Cyril Simcock of Hereford.
