Job Description

New Directions Education working with secondary schools across Powys, providing daily and long-term support across various roles including Sports Coaches and Cover Supervisors.
We require a team of committed and reliable Casual Sports Coaches to work in various secondary school’s in Powys.

The main aspect of this role is to lead and undertake a wide range of safe, effective and enjoyable sports programme and coaching sessions which meet the needs of those attending the sessions. Also, to deliver coaching or instruction in a sport to an individual or group of pupils, with a purpose of developing skills, within a fun environment.

Other duties include setting up and taking down equipment and ensuring health and safety of the pupils and colleagues at all times.

The role of a Supply PE teacher:

·         Staying up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum;

·         Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening;

·         Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
