February represented a 25 per cent rise in traffic for www.mynewtown.co.uk as a record number of visitors logged on, sending hits through the roof!

 

And as your free community news service continues to grow rapidly, our sister site mywelshpool recorded an incredible landmark as it enjoyed a record week.

 

It averaged over 1,000 IP addresses logging on each week day with only Wednesday dipping below the four-figure mark with 944 logging on.

 

These are remarkable statistics when you take into account that several computers can use the same IP address and many computers – especially in households – have more than one user. It translates into thousands of local residents logging on for news as it happens. And, as we always promise, it is completely free.

 

Our mynewtown Facebook Group has nearly reached the 600 member mark with daily bulletins posted showing that we bring the news to you every single day of the year.

 

When we launched back in December, the intention was to bring something fresh and new to the community and we have been blown away by the response from you.
