Mynewtown overtakes mywelshpool!

It was made official yesterday (Sunday). Newtown was bigger than Welshpool when it came to hits on their local news community web sites!

 

It was a case of Fairground Collapse v One Way Fiasco and Newtown’s dramatic Saturday night narrowly came out on top as over 1,000 of you logged on to read the news first!

 

It all started when we broke the news minutes after the fairground ride collapsed on Saturday night and followed it up Sunday with an exclusive eye witness account and then an interview with brave teenager Kylie Davies (left) who was injured in the accident.

 

Down the road, and news was breaking of one-way problems in Welshpool with residents complaining that the new signage would not allow disabled and mothers with prams to pass. The site attracted nearly 1,000 visitors but not quite as many as Newtown!
